Imperial Innovations is fully aware of its responsibility to ensure that the results of publicly-funded research are made available to the public: it will therefore never unreasonably delay publication.
We seek to maximise access to our technologies in the developed world and also to ensure, where possible, that we assist developing countries to obtain urgently needed products and services.
For developed world markets we seek a fair return for our technologies to ensure that the inventor and Imperial College London (if the technology originates from the College) get an appropriate reward for commercial success.
Where technology has the potential to benefit people in developing countries, Imperial Innovations will apply patenting and licensing policies pragmatically to maximise, wherever possible, developing country access to that technology.
Imperial Innovations will seek assurances from commercial partners that wherever possible they will make available licensed technologies and products to developing countries for locally affordable prices.
