Ventures

The Ventures teams are split over two sectors, Technology and Healthcare, and are responsible for creating, building and incubating companies.

Beginning with propositions based on promising technologies identified and assessed by the technology transfer team,  the Ventures teams then create businesses by recruiting commercial management teams and working with them to develop compelling business plans.  The Ventures teams then provide seed funding and works with the new companies' management to take companies to their next stage of development.

Following incubation, which typically lasts one to three years, companies are passed to the investment team for ongoing management.
In addition, the Ventures teams operate the Entrepreneurs In Residence Programme, working alongside serial entrepreneurs, industry experts or experienced CEOs to identify opportunities and accelerate the development of its businesses.
